AstraZeneca Launches Research, Development Center in US

11:26 PM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AstraZeneca (AZN.L, AZN.ST) unveiled a strategic research and development center in Massachusetts, US, as part of its planned investment of over $1 billion in the state. The 570,000-square-foot, 18-story facility will house nearly 2,000 researchers and scientists to accelerate the biopharmaceutical company's oncology, cell therapy, chronic disease, and rare disease pipeline, according to a Monday release. Overall, AstraZeneca has committed to invest $50 billion in the US.
