11:25 PM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- L'Oréal (OR.PA) is exploring options to dispose of tort liabilities as it faces a growing number of class actions related to its talc and other chemical products, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. The unnamed sources said the US subsidiary of the French beauty and personal care company sought the assistance of US law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges and boutique investment bank Ducera Partners as it considers its options, including the transfer of the liabilities into a separate corporate entity. The people said the group intends to sell the entity to an outside investor following the transfer to rid its operating businesses of tort exposure and responsibility for the claims. L'Oreal, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, and Ducera Partners did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
