The companies, which are analyzing the letter and preparing a response, disagree with the preliminary assessment, according to a Monday release. They plan specific remedies to address the concerns, without including divestments. The European Commission in August stated objections to the joint venture agreed in May as part of an in-depth merger investigation. A final decision is expected by the end of 2026 or shortly thereafter.
