Arm Holdings plc (NASDAQ:ARM) stock jumped more than 7% Friday as semiconductor and artificial intelligence stocks gained during a broad risk-on session.
The Nasdaq rose 1.03%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.72%. The Technology sector advanced 1.11%.
Arm’s rally came as investors continued to favor high-growth technology and semiconductor stocks.
Market breadth was also positive. Eight of 11 sectors traded higher, while the advance-decline ratio stood at 2.7.
Arm has gained about 106% over the past 12 months. Friday’s rally adds to the stock’s already strong upward momentum.
Arm is trading above all its major moving averages.
The stock is about 11% above its 20-day simple moving average of $281.99 and nearly 18% above its 50-day SMA of $265.90. It also trades roughly 45% above its 200-day SMA of $215.82.
The setup points to continued strength across short-, medium- and long-term trends.
The MACD remains above its signal line, while the histogram is positive. That suggests bullish momentum is strengthening.
Arm also formed a golden cross in April, when its 50-day SMA moved above the 200-day SMA.
However, the stock remains well above its shorter-term averages. That could increase volatility if momentum weakens.
Traders may watch resistance near $337 and support around $298.50.
