Akva Group Agrees to Yanmar's NOK6 Billion Takeover Bid

07:25 AM EDT, 10/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Akva Group (AKVA.OL) agreed to Yanmar Holdings unit Pontos Bidco's voluntary cash offer of 161 Norwegian kroner for each Akva share. The proposal values the aquaculture technology developer at 5.9 billion kroner, according to a Friday release. Akva's board unanimously recommended that shareholders accept the offer as it represents the "most attractive alternative to maximize shareholder value." The two-week acceptance period will start after the publication of the offer document. Completion of the transaction is expected in the fourth quarter, subject to a minimum acceptance threshold of 90%, customary regulatory approvals, and other closing conditions.
