Soybeans are trading with losses of 16 to 17 cents so far on Thursday. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price is down 19 1/4 cents at $12.20 1/4. Soymeal futures are down $6 to $7.30, with Soy Oil 140 to 145 points lower.
Export Sales data from USDA was released this morning, with a total of 1.034 MMT of 2026/27 beans sold in the week of 9/24, exceeding the 0.85 to 1 MMT range of estimates. That was back up from last week by 77.45% and nearly 27.25% larger than the same week last year.
Bean meal sales were tallied at net reductions of 51,069 MT for the current MY and 212,674 MT for 2026/27, which was between estimates for range of 0 to 550,000 MT. Bean oil sales were pegged at 173 MT, between the expected net reductions of 10,000 MT and net sales of 3,000 MT.
NASS quarterly Grain Stocks data from Wednesday showed 315 mbu of soybeans on and at the end of August, i.e. the end of the 2025/26 marketing year. That was 10 mbu tighter compared to last year and 6 mbu lower vs. trade estimates of 321 mbu.
USDA will release monthly Fats & Oils data this afternoon, with traders looking for 210.5 mbu of soybeans crushed in August. Soybean oil stocks on August 31 are seen at 1.774 bbu according to a Reuters survey of traders.
