Due to severe flooding, luggage handlers were unable to arrive. Thai Airways International is urgently cleaning up the backlog of nearly 10,000 pieces of luggage at Bangkok's main international airport. Thailand's Minister of Transport, Pipa Ratchajiprakan, said that out of the backlog of luggage formed from September 26 to 28, there are still about 8,000 pieces to be processed, and it will take 3 to 4 days to clear them up. About 100 Royal Thai Air Force personnel will assist with about 4,000 pieces of luggage stranded in the transit area; the airline is reducing flights during the resumption of operations.
