Generali Approves Merger By Incorporation of Two Subsidiaries in Italy

11:25 PM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Assicurazioni Generali (G.MI) approved the merger of its Alleanza Assicurazioni unit into another subsidiary, Generali Italia, according to a Wednesday release. The merger by incorporation is in line with the Italian insurer's strategy over the years for restructuring, corporate simplification, and operational consolidation of its business units under Generali Italia. The brand, identity, and distribution network of Alleanza will be preserved under the transaction, which is expected to wrap up by the first half of 2027, subject to the completion of legal requirements and authorizations from the Institute for the Supervision of Insurance.
