01:23 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Julius Baer Group (BAER.SW) confirmed that the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, or Finma, concluded its enforcement procedure related to a credit event in its former private debt business and legacy anti-money laundering matters. The Swiss private banking group said Tuesday that the issues occurred before the appointment of its management team and that it had implemented remedial measures, including winding down its private debt business and introducing a revised risk and compliance framework. Julius Baer noted that Finma's requirement for additional CET1 capital has been reduced to 250 million francs from 500 million francs, resulting in a de facto minimum CET1 capital ratio requirement of 9.4%. The company also submitted a request to Finma regarding its buyback program.
