On Monday, in Iran's free market, the dollar broke through 2.45 million against the riyal, and the riyal fell sharply and hit a record low. At the opening of the day, the US dollar was around 2.405 million against the riyal, and continued to rise during the trading session. Less than a week ago, the exchange rate was still around 2.33 million; a year ago it was about 1.11 million; now the exchange rate has more than doubled.
