Galileo Resources Finalizes Sale of Kalahari Copper Belt Licenses in Botswana

04:35 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Galileo Resources (GLR.L) completed the divestment of two Kalahari copper belt licenses in Botswana to Metal Capital Exploration, a unit of Australia-listed Sandfire Resources, for $3 million. The London-listed mineral exploration company agreed to sell its subsidiary, Virgo Business Solutions, which holds the prospecting licenses, in June, according to a Monday release. Galileo intends to use the proceeds to advance its project portfolio and as additional working capital.
