SHL Telemedicine Faces Class Action Certification for Alleged Excessive Fee Charging

The telemedicine services group said Thursday that a decision regarding the certification of the claim as a class action is pending, noting it is reviewing the motion and would respond in accordance with the applicable legal procedures. The motion claims that the company overcharged 2.5 million Israeli shekels and violated the service agreement, applicable consumer protection laws, contract law principles, rulings of the Standard Contracts Tribunal, the law of unjust enrichment, and the duty of good faith. The company, however, believes that it has complied with all applicable laws and contractual obligations. The applicants seek declaratory relief for the cancellation of all price increases implemented by the company, monetary compensation, a prohibitory injunction, and a mandatory injunction.
