Ørsted, Nuveen Unit Launch 913-MW German Offshore Wind Farm

12:16 AM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ørsted (ORSTED.CO) and investment management company Nuveen's unit Nuveen Infrastructure launched the 913-megawatt Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind project in Germany. The wind facility is equally owned by the Danish wind power company and Nuveen Infrastructure, according to a Tuesday release. It can produce enough renewable electricity to cover the consumption of close to 1 million households. Ørsted noted that the wind farm takes its total installed offshore wind capacity in the country to 2.5 gigawatts.
