Corn Slipping Back on Tuesday

Corn futures are holding onto losses at midday, with contracts 2 to 3 cents lower at midday. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price is down 3 cents at $4.95 3/4.  

Monday’s Crop Progress report tallied 58% of the US corn crop listed as mature as of September 20, with harvest at 13% complete and ahead of the 11% average pace. Condition ratings were back up 1 percentage point this week at 57% in good to excellent condition, as the Brugler500 index held steady at 347.

The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange estimates the 2026/27 Argentina corn crop 66 MMT, which would be above the 64 MMT from last year. The crop was reported at 11.1% planted.

Mar 27 Corn is at $5.54, down 2 3/4 cents,

May 27 Corn is at $5.60 1/4, down 2 3/4 cents,
