UBS Reaches Deal with Dutch Prosecutors Over Tax Probe into Credit Suisse Clients

06:33 AM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- UBS Group (UBSG.SW) reached an agreement to resolve a legacy matter tied to an investigation against former Credit Suisse AG, according to a Tuesday release. As part of the settlement with the Dutch Public Prosecution Service, the Swiss lender will pay 5 million euros. UBS added that the deal does not constitute a recognition of criminal liability. The investigation focused on alleged criminal liability related to inaccurate tax returns filed by 12 former Dutch clients of Credit Suisse AG between 2005 and 2015.
