Danske Bank to Continue Trimming Workforce Amid AI Rollout, COO Says

Woelders said AI will impact the whole company instead of just certain functions, adding that while the transition is expected to create new roles, staffing in its technology division will likely remain "essentially flat" until 2027. The Danish lender's employees are also anticipated to have their own AI agents capable of executing tasks before the end of 2026, with AI tools projected to boost developer productivity by 100% by the end of 2028.
