According to disaggregated data provided by the military, the Army spent about 1.6 billion US dollars on “combat preparations and basic livelihood security for deployed personnel”; the Navy spent more on “combat forces, ships, and flight operations”, reaching 2.2 billion US dollars; and the Air Force's bill was 6.6 billion US dollars for “deployment personnel support, air transportation, base and communications support, and transportation.”
