Corn Losses Slipping to Friday Morning

Corn price action is down 2 cents in the front months so far on Friday. Futures were down 1 to 4 3/4 cents on the Thursday session. Open interest was down 8,213 contracts on Thursday, led by liquidation in the front two contracts. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price was down 3 3/4 cents at $4.85 1/4.  Crude oil backed off by $1.34 on the day, to add some pressure.

Export Sales data showed 1.027 MMT in corn sales 2026/27 in the week ending on September 10. That was still down 16.6% from the same week last year. Mexico was the top buyer of 626,000 MT, with Japan in for 150,200 MT.

A couple more South Korean importers purchased a total of 130,000 MT of corn in a tender overnight, following 260,000 MT in sales from Thursday.

Nearby Cash  was $4.85 1/4, down 3 3/4 cents,

Mar 27 Corn  closed at $5.44 1/2, down 4 1/4 cents, currently down 2 cents

May 27 Corn  closed at $5.50 3/4, down 4 1/2 cents, currently down 2 cents
