European Medicines Agency's Panel Backs Zentiva's Jakavi Generic

08:20 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use on Thursday recommended the approval of Zentiva's Ruxolitinib Zentiva, a generic version of Jakavi, according to a Friday notice. The marketing authorization application covers the use of Ruxolitinib Zentiva for treating myelofibrosis, polycythaemia vera, and graft-versus-host disease. The drug contains the active substance ruxolitinib and will be available as 5-milligram, 10-mg, 15-mg, and 20-mg tablets. The European Commission will now make its decision on the treatment based on the recommendation.
