Bernstein Upgrades Moncler to Outperform Ahead of Peak Trading Season

03:35 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bernstein upgraded Moncler's (MONC.MI) rating to outperform from market-perform, saying its expectations have reset ahead of the Italian luxury fashion group's peak trading season. "Another seasonal soft patch has taken Moncler's valuation close to historical lows. Moncler now trades near its post-IPO low, driven by a combination of the seasonal trading pattern and the broader luxury sector de-rating. However, the magnitude of the de-rating from the year's peak is now broadly in line with historical seasonal drawdowns, suggesting much of the bad news is already reflected in the share price," analysts said Thursday, adding the expected weakness in Europe amid "unusually warm weather' in the third quarter seems to be priced in. The research firm highlighted that key demand proxies across Japan, Korea and China point to "healthy momentum" in Asia, while the launch of Moncler's Fifth Avenue flagship in the US is positioned to create a "halo effect" across its broader business in the next few quarters. Bernstein maintained its price target of 57.50 euros, estimates and valuation multiple on the stock.
