According to industry sources, Samsung Electronics has begun prototype production at its foundry in Tyler, Texas, USA to supply AI5 chips to Tesla. Samsung's Taylor factory was originally scheduled to be fully put into operation around November, but due to the surge in demand for AI chips from large technology companies, Samsung brought forward prototype production to begin yield verification. It plans to complete large-scale production verification by the end of this year, and fully supply it next year.
