The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Thursday, Tesla (TSLA.US) rose more than 4% to $372.60. According to the news, Tesla recently issued a new order for about 5,000 units to the supplier. This is the first mass production order at the level of 1,000 units, following previous trial production orders for hundreds of units. The company plans to launch approximately 50,000 Optimus units in 2026, and the robot business is moving from R&D to mass production.

In addition, Tesla is speeding up factory audits of the Optimus humanoid robot supply chain in China, visiting suppliers in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Xiamen. The dual signal of factory review and order marks Optimus's official transition from engineering prototyping to the replicable manufacturing stage. Industry insiders believe that Tesla visited Chinese suppliers to further determine the acceleration of its mass production pace.
