Zhitong Finance App learned that OTC Markets Group, which operates a regulated market and covers more than 12,000 US and international securities, announced that its Asia Pacific headquarters has officially settled in Hong Kong. The establishment of the Hong Kong office deepens the Group's services in the Asia-Pacific region and strengthens the interconnection between Asian issuers, market participants and investors and the US capital market. The office will be headed by JP Chan (JP Chan), Senior Vice President and Head of Asia Pacific (appointed in May this year to drive the Group's business development in the Asia Pacific region). Asia is the region with the fastest growth in OTC Markets. The trading volume of securities listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange alone on OTC Markets reached US$46.1 billion, accounting for about one-third of the total cross-market transactions of Asian securities during the same period.

Matthew Fuchs, Executive Vice President of Market Data at OTC Markets Group, said, “Our vision is to develop Hong Kong into the Group's main gateway in Asia, covering corporate services, transactions and market data business, further promoting the connection between companies in the Asia-Pacific region and the US capital market, while providing investors in the region with round-the-clock access to global companies and related market information.” He added: “Settling in Hong Kong helps us to be closer to our customers and partners and establish deeper connections with the markets we serve.”

Chen Xinglin, senior vice president and head of Asia Pacific, said, “We are optimistic about the long-term development opportunities of the Asian market. On the one hand, we help issuers reach American investors, and at the same time make it easier for investors in the region to invest in world-renowned companies. As global markets become increasingly connected, institutional investors need high-quality data and market infrastructure to make better investment decisions. We believe that by combining market access, information disclosure, data transparency and liquidity, our regional development strategy can provide real valuable services to issuers, investors and market participants.”
