DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, said in an email statement that the US International Development Finance Corporation has reached an agreement with the company to finance a battery energy storage project in Ukraine. This loan is one of the largest debt financing projects for Ukraine by the US International Development Finance Corporation. It is also the largest amount of financing it has invested in the Ukrainian energy sector since the Russian-Ukrainian conflict broke out. DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko said in a statement: “This approval will enable DTEK to continue to invest in reserve projects and consolidate energy security over the next few years.”
