Mwb Keeps Siemens Energy at Sell Amid Long-term Normalization Concerns

12:47 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mwb Research maintained its sell rating on Siemens Energy (ENR.F), saying the "high" near-term visibility remains intact, but the demand cycle is "unlikely to last forever." "The conference provided a constructive overview of Siemens Energy's strong positioning and attractive end markets. In the short- to medium-term, we remain optimistic on our estimates, supported by the sizeable backlog and strong revenue visibility. Our concerns are more focused on the longer-term expectations embedded in the shares, which increasingly assume that today's exceptionally strong demand environment can continue indefinitely. We see this as a demanding assumption, as even the strongest investment cycles eventually normalize," analysts said Wednesday after hosting the company at their Future of Energy Conference. The research firm noted that the German energy technology company's current elevated valuation remains tied to the artificial intelligence and data center boom, leaving the stock vulnerable to any cool-off in tech investment. "The recent share price pullback helps, but not enough to fundamentally improve the risk-reward profile," analysts added. Mwb has a price target of 100 euros on the stock.
