The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on topics of common concern, such as integrated development of trade and investment, maintenance of the multilateral trading system, and continuous optimization of the business environment, and reached broad consensus on further expanding trade and investment cooperation, discussing the establishment of a bilateral agricultural trade industry dialogue mechanism, and continuing to strengthen cooperation between the two sides under multilateral frameworks such as the WTO. Yan Dong said that under the strategic guidance and personal impetus of the leaders of the two countries, Sino-Cambodian economic and trade relations have been continuously upgraded and developed. Bilateral trade volume surpassed $20 billion for the first time in 2025, and is expected to reach a new high in 2026. China's imports of agricultural products from Cambodia are growing rapidly, and the share of Cambodian bananas, dried cassava, longan, rice and other products in the Chinese market continues to increase. China is ready to work with the Cambodian side to give full play to the role of existing mechanisms, raise the level of trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, work together to maintain the multilateral trading system and the international economic and trade order, and further promote the integrated development of the two countries' production and supply chains. Zhan Nemo said that China has been Cambodia's largest trading partner for 14 consecutive years and Cambodia's largest source of foreign investment for 13 consecutive years. China is welcome to further expand imports and investment in Cambodia. It is hoped that China will further fully unleash the dividends of free trade arrangements, strengthen capacity building cooperation in the field of e-commerce, and promote more Cambodian small and medium-sized enterprises and products to explore the Chinese market.
