Dermody broke ground on the LogistiCenter at Berkeley, a 357,619-square-foot facility located at 5300 St. Charles Road in Berkeley, Illinois.

The redevelopment of an older, functionally obsolete industrial building is part of a plan to attract industries that bring jobs to the community and expand the tax base. Dermody is represented by JLL, including Senior Managing Director Charlie Kenning, Senior Vice President Jackie Shropshire, and Vice Chairman Dan McGillicuddy.

“The location of this infill redevelopment project provides an incredible opportunity for our customers to access one of the most important logistics hubs in North America and serve the greater Chicago market from a single location,” said Neal Driscoll, Midwest Region Partner at Dermody.

LogistiCenter at Berkeley will feature 40-foot clear ceiling height, 57 dock-high doors, 357 car parking spaces and 63 trailer stalls. The development has immediate access to Interstate I-290 and is within minutes of I-294, I-88, and the Union Pacific intermodal facility, and is eight miles from O’Hare International Airport.
