Nvidia CEO Hwang In-hoon said on Tuesday that there is no need to introduce new artificial intelligence safety regulations; market forces will help enterprises carry out safety innovation. “We don't need new laws, and we don't need new regulatory rules,” Wong In-hoon said at a SAFTSE event. The CEO also stated that it is a “false dilemma” to believe that AI development can only be achieved by choosing between safety and speed, and reiterated his earlier views. In conversation with SEFTSE CEO Mark Benioff, he said, “It's totally possible to have both. You can control the pace until you are confident to launch a market-approved product. The market power itself already exists.”
