Two Israeli officials revealed that senior military commanders from the US, Israel, and several Arab countries met in Germany last week to discuss the war against Iran and the wider tension in the region. The closed-door meeting was led by US Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper. In addition to Cooper, the military chiefs of general staff from Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt also attended the meeting. Cooper assured all participants that even if Iran continues to attack US military bases, the US military will not withdraw from the region. He also informed his colleagues about the relevant action plan drawn up by the United States for the Strait of Hormuz. An Israeli official said that the IDF Chief of General Staff briefed other participants on the military operations carried out by the Israeli army on multiple fronts. The US Central Command confirmed the meeting and stated in a statement: “We hosted a scheduled meeting in Germany to receive senior military leaders from eight countries. The parties have discussed possible ways to strengthen security cooperation in the Middle East.”
