On September 15, the launch ceremony of the first Yangtze River Delta Regional Foreign-related Intellectual Property Protection Service Month was held in Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. The event, with the theme of “Intellectual Property Escorting the Yangtze River Delta to Collaborate to the World”, will continue until October 25. Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui Intellectual Property Offices jointly signed the Yangtze River Delta Regional Cooperation Framework Agreement on Foreign-related Intellectual Property Protection. According to the agreement, the four parties will establish mechanisms such as overseas intellectual property risk information sharing and lead transfer, collaborative dispute response, joint construction and sharing of service resources, protection collaboration in key areas, joint training of talents, and joint meetings to promote the protection of foreign-related intellectual property rights in the Yangtze River Delta from “fighting on their own” to “coordination and linkage.” Three provinces and one city also focused on publishing 5 landmark results, including the “Investigation Report on Foreign-related Intellectual Property Disputes in the Yangtze River Delta Region” and 22 typical cases of handling overseas intellectual property disputes, involving the “337 investigation”, NPE and standard essential patent disputes, trademark squatting, cross-border e-commerce TRO bans, etc., to provide more visible and usable response samples for more overseas companies.
