Unicorn Mineral Resources to Buy 75% Stake in QGC Namibia

04:57 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Unicorn Mineral Resources (UMR.L) agreed to acquire a 75% interest in Q Global Copper Namibia, or QGC Namibia, which holds two exclusive prospecting licenses covering 6,536 hectares in the Kalahari copperbelt in Africa. Under the updated terms of the share purchase agreement, the mineral explorer will initially pay 6 million rands, deferred consideration of 4 million rands as loan notes, and buy exploration data for 19 million rands, according to a Tuesday release. The initial payment will be funded through a 1.3 million-pound-sterling unsecured loan facility with Electro Automation (Group).
