China Automobile Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance: Domestic power battery loading increased 26.3% year-on-year in August

The Zhitong Finance App learned that the China Automobile Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released monthly power battery information for August. In August, domestic power battery loading volume was 79.0 GWh, up 5.9% month-on-month and 26.3% year-on-year. Among them, the loading volume of ternary batteries was 11.0 GWh, accounting for 14.0% of the total loading volume, down 1.0% from the previous year, and the loading volume of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 67.6 GWh, accounting for 85.6% of the total loading volume, up 7.0% from month to month, up 31.0% year on year.

From January to August, the cumulative load volume of domestic power batteries was 489.1 GWh, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 17.0%. Among them, the cumulative loading volume of ternary batteries was 85.6 GWh, accounting for 17.5% of the total loading volume, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 10.6%; the cumulative loading volume of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 402.7 GWh, accounting for 82.3% of the total loading volume, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 18.3%.

In terms of production, in August, China's total output of power and energy storage batteries was 237.0 GWh, up 8.8% month-on-month and 69.8% year-on-year. From January to August, China's cumulative output of power and energy storage batteries was 1523.9 GWh, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 57.0%.

In terms of sales volume:

In August, the sales volume of power and energy storage batteries in China was 223.1 GWh, up 20.5% month-on-month and 65.9% year-on-year. Among them, power battery sales were 146.8 GWh, accounting for 65.8% of total sales, up 13.7% month-on-month and 48.5% year-on-year; energy storage battery sales were 76.3GWh, accounting for 34.2% of total sales, up 36.0% month-on-month, and 114.3% year-on-year.

From January to August, the cumulative sales volume of power and energy storage batteries in China was 1387.7 GWh, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 50.7%. Among them, the cumulative sales volume of power batteries was 937.2 GWh, accounting for 67.5% of total sales, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 38.7%; the cumulative sales volume of energy storage batteries was 450.5 GWh, accounting for 32.5% of total sales, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 83.8%.

In August, China exported a total of 42.4 GWh of power and energy storage batteries, up 20.4% month-on-month and 87.5% year-on-year, accounting for 19.0% of the month's sales. Among them, power battery exports were 24.7 GWh, accounting for 58.2% of total exports, up 3.1% month-on-month, up 64.0% year on year; energy storage battery exports were 17.7 GWh, accounting for 41.8% of total exports, up 57.2% month-on-month, up 134.2% year on year.

From January to August, China exported a total of 259.0 GWh of power and energy storage batteries, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 49.6%, accounting for 18.7% of cumulative sales. Among them, the cumulative export volume of power batteries was 171.4 GWh, accounting for 66.2% of the total export volume, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 53.7%; the cumulative export volume of energy storage batteries was 87.6 GWh, accounting for 33.8% of the total export volume, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 42.2%.
