According to the news, Rebon Pharmaceutical recently announced that the clinical trial application for AP308 as a new drug to treat IgA nephropathy has recently been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company plans to launch the first human clinical trial of AP308 in the near future. AP308's IND approval marks the transition of this innovative drug from pre-clinical research to clinical development.

According to the announcement, IgA nephropathy is the most common primary glomerulonephritis in the world. In 2025, there were about 9.5 million patients worldwide, including 5.1 million in China, accounting for more than half of the world. About 60% of Chinese patients progressed to terminal nephropathy within 15 years of diagnosis. By directly cutting and removing pathogenic IgA and IgA immune complexes already deposited in the glomeruli, AP308 provides differentiated treatment ideas and is expected to meet current unmet clinical needs.
