The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 15, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.07% to 24,934.06 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 0.47% to 4,338.45 points. The state-owned enterprises index rose 0.23% to 8,303.25 points; the red chip index rose 0.18% to 4,137.49 points.
On the market, most large technology stocks rose. Lenovo Group (00992) rose 1.37%, Meituan-W (03690) rose 1.27%, NetEase (09999) rose 1.10%, Alibaba-W (09988) rose 1.04%, Baidu Group-SW (09888) and JD Group-SW (09618) rose slightly; Tencent Holdings (00700) fell 0.60%.
Storage and semiconductor concept stocks rebounded. Tianshu Zhixin (09903) (excluded today) rose 3.51%, Haiguang Xinzheng (01191) rose 1.61%, GigaYi Innovation (03986) rose 1.57%, and Lanqi Technology (06809) rose 1.56%. In terms of automobile stocks, GAC Group (02238) resumed trading 8.17% higher, at HK$2.52. According to news, the company previously announced plans to purchase some of the shares in an automobile joint venture held by FAW shares and raise supporting capital. H shares will resume trading at 9:00 a.m. this morning.
Among the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Index, Haidilao (06862), Hang Lung Properties (00101), and Jitu Express (01519) registered higher gains; Xinyi Solar (00968) and Changhe (00001) registered higher declines. Chinese brokerage stocks were sluggish, and Orient Securities (03958) fell 1.04%.
Overnight, the three major US stock indices collectively closed lower. The Dow fell 0.29%, the NASDAQ fell 0.56%, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 5.86%. On the previous trading day (September 14), the Hang Seng Index closed up 0.45%, with storage concept, optical communications and chip stocks falling the highest.
