On September 14, the “Blue Book on Circular Economy in China's Petrochemical Industry” was officially released at the 2026 Petroleum and Chemical Industry Circular Economy Conference. The Blue Book points out that replacing fossil carbon sources with biomass and carbon dioxide is a “renewable carbon inlet” to the petrochemical raw material system. It is estimated that by 2030, the scale of the domestic biochemical industry will increase from 65 billion yuan in 2025 to about 99 billion yuan.
