Legal & General Completes GBP600 Million First Tranche of Share Buyback Program

12:21 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Legal & General Group (LGEN.L) completed the initial 600 million-pound-sterling tranche of its 1.2 billion-pound share buyback program. The British asset manager and insurer repurchased 225,507,499 shares at an average price of 2.66 pounds per share, according to a Sept. 11 release. Legal & General said it will make a further announcement before the start of the second tranche.
