On September 12, the core hub project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Shiziyang Corridor Steel Truss Bridge across the Xiqiao Waterway completed the assembly of 11 sections to achieve accurate integration. The Lion Ocean Corridor is another large-scale cross-river channel project in the Greater Bay Area after the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Shenzhen-China Corridor. It is a two-story river crossing channel with a total length of about 35 kilometers, connecting Guangzhou's Nansha District and the two towns of Humen and Shatian in Dongguan. The main project consists of the main cross-river bridge, the Lion Ocean Bridge, and the cross-strait land lead project. The main span of the Xiqiao Waterway Steel Truss Bridge is 165 meters. It is currently the largest single-span double-layer steel truss in China, and can meet inland waterway Class II navigation standards.
