Saudi Ceramic Co. Resumes Production at Riyadh Tile Facility Following Fire Incident

(SASE:2040) has restarted operations of the tile production line that was affected by an electrical substation fire incident in August, according to a Thursday filing. The ceramic products manufacturer said the production line, which is located at its facility in the Second Industrial City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is using alternative power sources, costing an additional 1.8 million Saudi riyals per month. Saudi Ceramic Co. also completed its evaluation of the damaged assets and reported their net book value at 1.3 million riyals as of Aug. 18. It added that the related loss will be recognized in its third-quarter results.
