Telenor, Verdane Complete Telenor Connexion JV Deal

11:30 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Telenor (TEL.OL) and Verdane completed a deal to set up a 50/50 joint venture for Telenor Connexion, according to a Thursday release. Telenor Connexion is now deconsolidated and accounted for as an associated entity in the Norwegian telecommunications and technology group. Under the deal announced in May, Telenor received 3.8 billion kronor in upfront proceeds, with each party set to invest up to 2 billion kronor to support the company's value-accretive growth strategy.
