Cape EMS unit partners Helios to distribute BESS in Europe, Asia Pacific

KUALA LUMPUR: Cape EMS Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Cape Renewables Sdn Bhd has inked a collaboration with Helios PV (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd to distribute Malaysian-assembled residential Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

In a statement, Cape EMS said it will leverage its manufacturing facility in Senai, Johor, to undertake

Sourcing, localisation, system integration, assembly, testing and supply of the residential BESS solutions.

"The partnership combines Cape EMS’ established manufacturing and system integration capabilities with Helios’ commercial channels and market execution experience to capture growing international demand for residential energy storage solutions," it said.

The collaboration is also expected to further optimise Cape EMS’ existing manufacturing infrastructure, progressively positioning its Senai facility as an assembly, integration and export platform for residential energy storage systems serving international markets.

Cape EMS has selected Germany, one of Europe's most mature battery storage markets, as the initial strategic market for the launch of its residential BESS solutions, before progressively expanding into the wider European Union.
