05:53 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RBC Capital Markets launched its coverage of GSK (GSK.L) with a sector perform rating, noting that the UK-based pharmaceutical group has a "limited" margin for error to achieve its 40 billion-pound-sterling revenue target by 2031 amid headwinds at its key segments. "The stock has appreciated ~30% over the past year, reflecting improved fundamentals and market reception to new CEO Luke Miels' focus on accelerating pipeline execution. However, we think current levels factor in these improvements, with further upside contingent on demonstrating what comes next. Projected 2025-30 sales growth trails peers, with visibility unclear given HIV's rising competition and looming patent cliff," analysts wrote Tuesday. "Flawless execution through its 2031 ambition is required to bridge the pipeline, while promising, remains a delivery story. Current valuation captures these risks; we favor other opportunities." The research firm also highlighted GSK's focus on its Oncology division as a priority area and sees an upside to the pipeline of assets, but noted the lack of visibility on material sales until the end of the decade for these assets. Setting the stock's price target at 19.75 pounds sterling, analysts identified the upcoming US Food and Drug Administration target action dates for bepirovirsen and neladalkib this year and the phase 3 data readout for Exdensur in eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis as potential catalysts for the company.
