05:51 AM EDT, 09/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Firering Strategic Minerals (FRG.L) granted Australasian Metals, or A8G, an exclusive 90-day option to perform due diligence and decide whether to acquire a majority of Firering's interests in the Atex and Alliance lithium-tantalum projects in Côte d'Ivoire. The binding option agreement includes a non-refundable fee of AU$100,000 and a further AU$1.4 million in cash upon exercise of the option, according to a Monday filing. It covers 75% of Firering's current 90% stake in Atex Mining Resources, as well as its 51% stake and rights to acquire a further 29% interest in Alliance Minerals. Proceeds are earmarked for the quicklime producer and critical minerals explorer's general working capital, outstanding shareholder bridge loan notes, and the Limeco quicklime project in Zambia. Firering noted that there is no certainty that A8G will exercise the option or that the divestments will be completed.
