Moody's Revises Seplat Energy Outlook; Rating Affirmed on Robust Financial Performance

07:08 AM EDT, 09/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's Ratings changed its outlook on Seplat Energy (SEPL.L) to positive from stable, while also affirming its long-term corporate family rating of B2, according to a Sept. 4 release. The credit agency said the revision was attributed to the link between the London-listed independent energy company's credit profile and Nigeria. Moody's previously upgraded the outlook for the country's government to positive on Aug. 28. Additionally, Moody's highlighted the company's robust operating and financial performance, improved credit metrics, leading market position, growing gas business, prudent financial policy, among others.
