Sprinklr stock just dropped 10% in a day, yet the headline from this quarter is not a collapse in demand. The shock is coming from a profit story that looks far tighter than many holders seemed to expect.
Underneath a modest 1% revenue growth, Sprinklr produced about $31.3 million in non GAAP operating income with a 15% margin and free cash flow of $13.1 million. At the same time, trailing margins over the past year have compressed and now sit well below last year. That clash between solid cash generation and thinning profitability is what is driving today’s sentiment reset.

Bulls argue Sprinklr can turn an enterprise focused, AI native CXM platform into stronger growth and free cash flow. The latest quarter offers partial proof. Enterprise health looks better beneath the slow 1% revenue growth. Net dollar expansion at 102% and 112% for customers spending over US$1m, plus 11% growth in total remaining performance obligations to US$1.03b, all line up with a “bear hug” focus on larger, multi year deals.
The AI upsell leg of the thesis also has concrete traction. Management cited roughly 40% ARR growth in AI native SKUs and more than 200 active agentic AI engagements. That supports the idea that Sprinklr is selling more AI modules into the base. The catch is that higher cloud and data costs are now visible in compressed margins, so the AI push is helping the top line mix while testing the profitability part of the bull story.
Compare Sprinklr’s enterprise wins and AI upsell momentum with how the stock’s 10% single day drop aligns with institutional expectations. See the consensus price target analysis for Sprinklr to check whether Wall Street targets are holding steady or moving lower. The bearish view on Sprinklr is that a slow growing, concentrated enterprise CXM platform with rising AI costs will struggle to protect margins and durable demand. Q2 results give that view some backing. Total revenue grew just 1% while guidance points to roughly flat total revenue in Q3. That keeps the concern about a stalled top line very much alive even with 3% subscription growth.
Bears also worry that heavy AI and competitive pressure could lock margins at lower levels. Services gross margin at a loss of 22% and guidance for continued services losses around 15% show that the margin repair story is not hitting milestones yet. Higher cloud and data costs tied to AI features support fears of structurally higher cost to serve. Net dollar expansion of 102% and 112% on US$1m accounts softens the churn risk, but does not yet answer the growth slowdown question.
After a 10% single day share price drop and profit margins that have declined from 14.6% to 2.7%, it is reasonable to ask whether Sprinklr’s current challenges are just a short term margin reset or a sign of deeper execution risk that management has not fully addressed.
