Soybeans are trading with contracts down 13 to 15 cents on Thursday morning. Pressure is coming from double digit losses in corn and 20-30 cent losses in wheat. Futures ended the back and forth Wednesday session with contracts down 4 to 7 ¾ cents in most front months. Open interest was up 1,200 contracts. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price was down 9 1/4 cents at $12.52 1/4. Soymeal futures were down 90 cents to $3.00 on the day, with Soy Oil back down 93 to 187 points. There were 19 delivery notices overnight against September beans, with 265 deliveries for September meal and 390 for September bean oil.
USDA reported a private export sale of 202,000 MT to China on Wednesday morning for 2026/27 shipment.
Export Sales data will be released today, with analysts looking for net cancellations of 200,000 MT to 200,000 MT of sales for 2025/26 soybeans. Bookings for 2026/27 soybeans are seen in a range of 1.4 to 2.5 MMT. Soybean meal sales are seen in a range of 125,000 MT to 1.1 MMT in that week. Bean oil bookings are seen in net cancellations of 10,000 MT to net sales of 10,000 MT.
Allendale’s estimate for the 2026 US bean crop is 52.6 bpa according to a producer survey, with production at 4.515 bbu.
