UK's International Reserves Rise in August

05:13 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK government's gross reserve assets increased to $228.11 billion in August from $220.13 billion in July, according to Bank of England data published Thursday. The amount consists of $121.96 billion in foreign currency reserves, $7.40 billion in International Monetary Fund reserve position, $38.91 billion in special drawing rights, $45.66 billion in gold, and $14.18 billion in other reserve assets.
