Fortum Clears Regulatory Requirement for Elmera Group Purchase

03:10 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fortum (FORTUM.HE) said Thursday it secured all relevant regulatory approvals for its proposed acquisition of electrical power and related services company Elmera Group. The Finnish energy company, through Fortum Consumer Solutions, is offering 47 Norwegian kroner for each Elmera share, except those owned by the target. The Norwegian Competition Authority cleared the acquisition, as did competition regulators in Sweden and Finland. The offer will remain open for acceptance until Sept. 18. It remains subject to other preceding conditions.
