YIT Wins EUR30 Million Passenger Rail Yard Project in Finland

01:34 AM EDT, 08/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- YIT (YIT.HE) said Wednesday it secured an all-in contract worth 30 million euros to implement the Oulu Passenger Rail Yard RU2 project in Finland. Under the three-stage agreement, the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency will act as the developer for the Oulu-based project, which will modernize the station's platforms and underpasses, and build new platforms, electrification systems, tracks, and roads, among other work. Work is slated to start in September 2026, with completion by the end of 2029.
