05:54 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio will step down from all his roles at EssilorLuxottica (EL.PA), including as chief strategy officer of the French eyewear manufacturer, a company spokesperson confirmed to MT Newswires on Tuesday. The confirmation follows a report by Italian newspaper Milano Finanza that the son of Luxottica's late founder Leonardo Del Vecchio will resign from the group and as president of Ray-Ban, effective Aug. 31. The spokesperson noted that Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio will leave the roles "to dedicate himself to new entrepreneurial projects."
