05:44 AM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Metzler Capital Markets raised its price target and earnings forecasts for Deutsche Post (DHL.F), d/b/a DHL Group, amid expectations of another upward revision to the German logistics group's full-year 2026 EBIT target from the current goal of over 6.5 billion euros. "We expect positive earnings effects from the situation in the Middle East - including shortages and temporary price increases - to amount to approximately EUR 250 million (e) for DHL in fiscal year 2026. We expect that the likely [non-recurrence] of these effects next year will be more than offset by a) a postage rate increase in P&P, b) continued structural growth in Supply Chain, c) a rebound in the freight business under the new management (DGF has fallen somewhat behind in recent years), and d) continued positive volume effects in Express," according to a Monday note. Analysts added that they anticipate rising industrial volumes, fueled by recent PMI gains, will boost DHL's earnings growth. Against this backdrop, the research firm lifted its DHL earnings projections for full-year 2026 through 2028, including sales, EBIT and EPS forecasts. As a result, Metzler's price target on the stock rose to 65 euros from 62 euros, with an unchanged buy rating.
